Golden Healer es un cuarzo (SiO₂) que presenta recubrimientos, impregnaciones o inclusiones de óxidos e hidróxidos de hierro, principalmente limonita y goethita, responsables de sus tonos dorados, amarillos o miel. Estos óxidos se depositan durante o después del crecimiento del cristal, ya sea como velos internos, fracturas rellenas o películas superficiales adheridas al cuarzo. El resultado es un contraste visual entre la transparencia o translucidez del cuarzo y la coloración cálida del hierro. La dureza del conjunto es la del cuarzo, 7 en la escala de Mohs, con brillo vítreo en las zonas limpias y mate a sedoso en las áreas impregnadas. En forma de esfera, la distribución del color se percibe de manera envolvente, mostrando gradaciones irregulares que reflejan la circulación de fluidos ricos en hierro durante su historia geológica.
